By using RemoveBG, you confirm that:

• You are at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU)
• You have the legal authority to agree to these Terms
• You will comply with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws

RemoveBG provides an AI-powered background removal tool that allows users to:

• Upload images in JPG, PNG, or WebP format (up to 10 MB)
• Receive a processed transparent-background PNG
• Download the result without creating an account

The service is provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid features or usage limits in the future with prior notice.

You agree to use RemoveBG only for lawful purposes. You must NOT use the service to:

• Upload images you do not own or do not have rights to process
• Upload images that contain illegal content, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
• Upload images intended to harass, defame, or harm individuals
• Upload images containing malicious code, scripts, or exploits
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service in bulk
• Circumvent rate limits, security measures, or access controls
• Use the service for any purpose that violates applicable laws

Your content: You retain all intellectual property rights to the images you upload. By uploading an image, you grant us a temporary, limited license to process it solely for the purpose of providing the background removal service.

Our technology: The RemoveBG service, including its AI models, codebase, design, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our technology.

Output images: Processed output images belong to you. We make no claim of ownership over your uploaded or processed images.

To maintain service quality and security, the following restrictions apply:

• Allowed formats: JPG, JPEG, PNG, WebP only
• Maximum file size: 10 MB per image
• Maximum resolution: 8,000 × 8,000 pixels
• Rate limits: Maximum 10 uploads per 10 minutes per IP address

We reserve the right to modify these limits at any time without notice.

RemoveBG is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Warranties that results will be accurate or meet your expectations

AI-generated cutouts may not be perfect for all images. We do not guarantee any specific quality level for processed images.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RemoveBG and its operators shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of data, profits, revenue, or goodwill
• Damages resulting from unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
• Damages resulting from third-party content or services

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $0 if you used the free tier).

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless RemoveBG and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the service in violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any applicable laws or third-party rights
• Your uploaded content infringing upon intellectual property rights

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may:

• Temporarily suspend the service for maintenance or updates
• Modify, restrict, or discontinue features with or without notice
• Terminate access for users who violate these Terms

Your use of RemoveBG is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it to understand our data practices.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or the appropriate courts of competent jurisdiction.

We may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page. Your continued use of the service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date when changes are made.
